The Barnes & Noble, located in Mount Kisco at 55-59 South Moger Ave., celebrated its first day in business with a ribbon-cutting held on Saturday, Nov. 16.
The event was attended by village officials such as Mayor Michael Cindrich as well as New York Times Bestselling cooking book author Kathleen Ashmore.
The 13,700-square-foot store is located in a former Walgreens space, according to the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce.
"Thank you to everyone who came out to support us and be the first customers to walk through our doors. We can’t wait to see you again!" the store's owners wrote in a post on social media on Saturday.
